  In my country

Sherko Bekes

In my country

newspapers are born dumb

radios are born deaf

televisions are born blind

and those in my country

who want these to be born healthy and free

They make them dumb and kill them

they make them deaf and kill them

they make them blind and kill them

this is what happens

in my country

 Together

One evening a blind

A deaf and a mute

Were sitting together for some time

On a bench in a garden.

They were lively, smart and smiling.

The blind saw the world

With the eyes of the deaf.

The deaf heard

With the ears of the mute

And the mute understood from the movements

Of the lips and faces of both.

And all three

Simultaneously inhaled the scent of the flowers

As the mind has no boundaries, the RAHA concept does not have frontiers and is opposed to information and cultural control by global communication entities whether media conglomerates, states or local governments, or religions
